Royal Truck & Utility Trailer: Your Trusted Partner for Flatbed Trailers

Heavy-duty flatbed trailers are integral to the transportation industry. Without them, transporting oversized, bulky items that wouldn’t fit inside a standard closed-top trailer would be impossible. As one of the backbones of the transportation industry, quality open-bed trailers are an excellent hauling option to consider for various industries and applications.

At Royal Truck & Utility Trailer, we have lots of flatbed trailers for sale from leading brands and manufacturers. Our family-owned company has decades of experience contributing to the transportation industry with our quality sales and servicing departments throughout the Midwest.

Key Features of Flatbed Trailers

One of the key features of a flatbed trailer is its open top. Since cargo doesn’t have to fit within an enclosed space, loading and unloading materials that would be difficult to haul is easier. Even if cargo fits in a typical trailer, you can improve productivity with a flatbed trailer since its open sides can provide access for cranes and forklifts.

Because flatbed trailers have heavy payload capacities, their construction is top-tier. For instance, MAC’s drop deck flatbed trailer is lightweight yet offers an impressive 52K load capacity due to the brand’s unique way of optimizing the strength of its aluminum materials. Other options include flatbed trailers with six-inch or eight-inch low-profile necks with 40K to 45K concentrated load capacities respectively.

Advantages of Using Flatbed Trailers

It doesn’t matter what you need to haul. Flatbed trailers can meet those needs. It can accommodate different materials from multiple industries, making these trailers highly versatile.

Flatbed trailers safely transport cargo, from machinery to loaded palettes of goods. They can handle concentrated weight and even load distribution using durable chains or straps to secure any load for the long haul.

Productivity also increases at job sites with flatbed trailers. Instead of spending additional hours and energy loading and unloading cargo manually, your crew can easily operate machinery to do the job faster and more efficiently. With increased productivity, you can be sure your hauls will have fewer delay risks.

Applications of Flatbed Trailers

Though many industries rely on the versatility and performance of flatbed trailers, they’re a go-to hauling option within the construction industry. These trailers are crucial for transporting heavy construction machinery and materials like:

  • Skid steers
  • Forklifts
  • Small wheel loads
  • Excavators
  • Oversized beams and pipes

Without flatbed trailers, it would be challenging to get these types of heavy-duty cargo from Point A to Point B without complications. Even though some construction machinery is drivable, you can transport them to job sites faster by loading them onto a sturdy trailer.

The agricultural industry also relies on flatbed trailers. They’re reliable enough for ranchers and farmers to move bales of hay, tractors, crops, and other materials around their lands.

Selecting the Right Flatbed Trailer

It’s important to select the right flatbed trailer for your specific needs. When choosing one, you must consider the type of cargo you expect to haul so you can make smart decisions regarding trailer payload capacity, length, and axle configuration.

By choosing Royal Truck & Utility Trailer as your go-to source for flatbed trailers, you can pick from an impressive inventory that includes everything from late-model, 53-foot Utility flatbeds to six-axle MAC flatbeds with a 72K heavy-duty beam.
