Talbert Heavy Haul Trailers: A Legacy of Quality and Innovation

2020 TALBERT 55CC - 55 TON LOWBOY TRAILER

Talbert Heavy Haul Trailers: Pioneering Excellence

Your dedicated truckers require some heavy-duty equipment they can count on. Anyone in the trucking game for the long haul agrees that trailer quality is everything, and Talbert heavy haul trailers remain a top choice.

Below, Royal Truck & Utility Trailer shares why this 1938 brand still dominates heavy-duty hauling circles. The company stocks Talbert’s heavy haulers, which are perfect for virtually any construction, transportation, utilities, military, aerospace, and agriculture application.

The Uniqueness of Talbert Heavy Haul Trailers

The Talbert name has been synonymous with excellence for eight decades in the tractor-trailer world. Its heavy-duty tractor trailers, or “lowboy trailers,” are the main attraction here. These lowboy trailers feature a flat, low-lying platform designed for hauling tall materials that need additional clearance.

Talbert heavy-duty transport trailers are manufactured to an exact standard with incredibly durable T1 steel, certainly capable of withstanding up to 100,000 psi. The Apitong hardwood flooring is two inches thick for extra durability when hauling heavy loads. The low trailer is easy to load, and the heavy-duty construction can support up to 100 tons on custom models.

For performance and longevity, specialized trailers for heavy haul by Talbert are second to none!

The Innovation Behind Gooseneck Design

Part of what makes Talbert lowboy trailers popular is Talbert’s patented removable gooseneck design. The adjustable gooseneck can lower the loading angle, providing additional stability and safety when loading up materials. There’s a flat roller design at the top of the neck for easy connecting and disconnecting—perfect for loads that are going to be on a truck for days at a time.

Talbert offers two main types of gooseneck: hydraulic and non-hydraulic.

  • The hydraulic goosenecks utilize hydraulic cylinders to raise and lower the trailer to user specifications.
  • Talbert mechanical goosenecks use a series of rollers and ramps to connect to trucks, which makes them lighter than their hydraulic model. The high arch of the connecting beam also provides more clearance.

Advantages of Choosing Talbert Lowboy Trailers

Talbert heavy haul trailers carry several advantages over other brands. First, Talbert trailers are incredibly flexible. The adjustable platform allows for a wide range of loads, and the low center of gravity increases stability and safety. Their trailers are a mainstay in most heavy industries, and customization options mean you can order Talbert trailer models for oversized loads.

Talbert trailers’ quality also puts them in the top tier of haulers. The four-pin connection systems distribute loads evenly, and the swing radius on the gooseneck is large enough for tight maneuverability. Durable, weather-resistant steel ensures longevity and enough power to haul whatever you want.

Buying a Talbert trailer is a wonderful investment for your fleet of trucks.
